“TORA TORA” BY ONETWENTY
Review from Too Much Love Magazine
Seductively melodic and stunningly appointed with one of the smoothest-sipping grooves you’re going to hear off of the mainstream radar in 2021, OneTwenty’s voice could convey the directions for setting up a stationary bike and still sound Grammy-worthy; luckily though, his new single “Tora Tora” has more substance than a user’s manual and then some. Produced by none other than the incomparable Kameron Davell, “Tora Tora” and its music video spotlight this singer’s virtuosities as a vocalist as well as his star demeanor in the studio and on screen, both of which act as the perfect pair of venues for him to exhibit his skillset.
Review from Neufutur Magazine
OneTwenty’s “Tora Tora” is one unique sort of tracks. There’re sections that draw their inspiration from synth pop, traditional pop, and even 1990s R&B here. The 808/clap track firmly ensconces the single in a retro style, while OneTwenty’s dreamy style is part Weeknd, part Kid Cudi in its delivery. Tora Tora is elegant and expansive in its execution. Fans will be able to hear new dynamics and approaches after multiple listens. Tora Tora will work perfectly along modern pop music while coming forth as distinct and different from the rest of the music being released. We’re impressed by what OneTwenty has done here in his latest single.
OneTwenty and Kameron Davell ‘Tora Tora’
Review from Lyrics and Threads
OneTwenty and Kameron Davell are on their 3rd project together as artist and producer. Tora Tora (which means tiger tiger in Japanese) captures themes of youth and explores what it means to be a tiger hunting in the jungle of love. Kameron Davell delivers airy 80’s synths with some snap to them that are sure to make you dance. The beat mixes old school funk vibes with modern hip hop sounds. OneTwenty gives us clean yet passionate vocals to match this song’s pumping energy. The lyrics drive the point home as we hear what a young “Tiger” is thinking during a hot and sexy hunt. The press photos are available for a limited time only as NFTs on Opensea under TORA TORA NFT COLLECTION. We also have a video in the works which we believe is worthy of any attention it may receive and will hold up to the highest standards.
OneTwenty – ‘Tora Tora’
Review from Essentially Pop
His latest single, ‘Tora Tora’ sees OneTwenty hungering for life and new experiences. Tokyo lights up the night in the accompanying music video, but this movie plot is heightened by all the action happening within the city streets. Translating as “Tiger Tiger” in Japanese, ‘Tora Tora’ sees OneTwenty and his female partner snatch up their prey at every pit stop, and while the body counts keep coming, His veracity grows stronger with every “missing person” headline. The only victim that can truly meet his needs? His fellow accomplice. She is the next meal for the very hungry singer.
Single Review: OneTwenty “Tora Tora”
Review from Music Existence
If there’s a city that feels like the true center of all pop culture and humanity, it’s Tokyo. Unlike any other metropolis in the world, the identity of Japan’s largest city captivates no matter what the setting it’s been placed before, but in the new video for OneTwenty’s single “Tora Tora,” it gets a run for its money from one of the brightest young voices I’ve heard in progressive R&B over the past two years. OneTwenty gets a helping hand from producer Kameron Davell is setting the mood up just the way we need it, but all in all, his vocal is the true star of this glitzy, big-city spectacle.

Introducing Davellien
January 15th, 2021
Kameron Davell (CEO and founder of Davellien) realizes the latent potential of the Southern blends of hip-hop with thoughtful messaging, soulful chops and gritty truth. Drawing inspiration from the likes of ATLs legendary OutKast, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar, Kamerons musical embarkment is nothing short of progressive for hip-hop in its entirety. Having released several projects in the last decade, Davell's production is not shy in dabbling with instrumentation spanning from jazzy ballads to futuristic hip-hop. His faith-driven concepts allows room for discussion involving social dilemmas, moral ambiguity and bettering oneself while not being afraid to speak freely. The atmosphere Kameron delivers to each song is not limited by his past experiences, but rather enhanced as he speaks with gumption and solidarity whether it is on his own or during a collaborative effort. Versatile, consistent and risk taking are all positive within Kameron Davell, he is sure to not disappoint.
